Welcoming a crisp New Year!

Image
Hello all, Namaste! Hope all of you had a fantastic Christmas (whoever celebrates it) and others had a beautiful weekend. Now next week is the birth of young, fresh New Year, full of promises and hopes. Why don't we discuss today how to use the energy of this New chapter to get rid of the old baggage like old emotions, old regrets and old frustrations from our life. ( This post is also very much a reminder to myself as well to do the same for me. I am also in the same boat struggling to leave many regrets and frustrations behind and welcome fresh energy into my life. So this post is for all of us :-)). Life as a boat: Each of us has taken a physical existence and many times we live our life without a true awareness. It is always better to take an example to elaborate a point. So let us think of our this life as a boat (say a medium sized one with an engine, a rudder, and a sail) on the sea of the material realm. Many times in our life we just sit simply in the boat (means our

Jesus - The Wounded Healer!

Hello all, Namaste! Hope all of you had a great week where you were able to do some Christmas shopping, spend time with family or just paint the town red with your friends. As this Friday is just the week before Christmas, why don't we analyze the personality on whose birth the Christmas is celebrated? Only a very charismatic person can have the worldwide success we see in the case of Jesus. Yes, Christians celebrate Jesus as the son of God. But every one of us can learn some valuable lessons from every kind of leader the world has produced. So today in the spirit of Christmas, let us look at the man Jesus and see how he used his life to show people what values the most in this physical existence. Before proceeding with the post, just a note. This post is about the historical personality Jesus, who was born 2000 years ago and who walked the earth as a spiritual master/teacher and whose teachings the people followed. This post is not about the divine Jesus, who is the son of

Brahman - The Infinite!

Hello all, Namaste! Hope all of you had a great week and weekend with a lot of Sun, Sunlight and were able to do things that bring value to your life. Today we will try to discuss one of the toughest subjects a human being can ever discuss, the Brahman or the Infinite. I have read in many places that to put it simply into words and describe it is absolutely impossible. But then why not give it a try and see how it proceeds. (Just want to warn everyone, this post is going to have a very heavy measure of Philosophy and hope this makes sense to my dear blog readers. Brahman is a very difficult subject, so of course, a heavy dose of Philosophy is needed to elaborate). Before proceeding with this post let us invoke the Brahman itself to guide us so that this post tries to capture at least a small portion of the true essence of Brahman. Last week we discussed how the Sun or Surya bring its energy into our body as the Soul or the authentic Self. In Indian philosophy, this is called Jeeva

Hello all, Namaste! Hope all of you had a great weekend and were able to do things that bring value to your life. Today let us discuss some Philosophy / Mythology and a bit of Astrology . Hoping to integrate all these into one post and see how it proceeds. Last week we discussed how we can go with the flow of life with awareness as if we are a water droplet. Now to another question, what is the thing that brings awareness to us? Are we just the body we represent or do we have more to that? How can we know that in the morning when we wake up we understand that we are the same person we went to sleep the previous night? Is it just our brain and memory or is there a consciousness or an awareness behind it that realizes this fact, for example, I am Swaroopa (my blog name :-) ), in the morning? Just another simple question. When we are alive, we are called by our names and when we become dead, we are just called the body. What is the thing that makes us alive and without it we are j
