Heaven on Earth!

Hello all,

Namaste! Hope all of you had a great week where you were able to take the best possible steps towards the best possible outcomes for your life. Last week we discussed how our actions decide what our Karma is. Many times we consider ourselves as hopeless and helpless beings thrashed around by higher forces all over our life. If we are sent to the Earth realm for that, why are we having a mind to think, a well-equipped brain to critically analyze, an intuition to poke us once a while to remind us and a conscience that warns us in case we are taking a wrong step.

Why? What is the point of all these faculties built into our system? That is not necessary, isn't it? Isn't it a huge waste of the energies and resources of the Universe? Why it should spend energy on something that is not going to work? The answer is the Universe or the higher forces have faith and belief in us, humans that we are very well equipped to do our purpose. The sad part is we ourselves don't believe in us. We have no faith in our own capabilities.

So, when a brilliant idea or thought strikes us we keep it aside, ignore or neglect saying that idea is impossible to do, it is never going to happen, I don't think so, am I crazy even to think that? We shove it aside and continue what we were doing until that day. Continue endlessly wherever we placed ourselves - in the rut, rat race or the drill of everyday life. The Divine equipped us very well to do our best with the faculties we have been provided. But what do we do? We let our fear or stagnation keep us exactly at the place we fear. We are terrified to change the status quo.

Collective unconscious: We have discussed this concept before, how it conditions us deep from our own DNA as ancestral, familial and other conditioning. We as a human race have gone through struggles, diseases, and persecutions and all these are deeply encoded in our genes. This is the enormous dark force against which we are fighting. When the enemy is sitting within us, how can we really rise against it?

To rise against it first we have to become aware. Without awareness how do we know that there is a problem? For a Quora question, I used an example. Let me use it again. Think, we have a leak in our roof. It is leaking, but the leak is getting absorbed by the insulation in the attic. The insulation is capturing the leak. So, even though the leak is there, we, the homeowner has no idea. Until the insulation gets drenched and starts to wet the drywall and our roof itself we would sit nicely in our non-awareness state. Once the roof gets drenched, now we can take actions. (This example is about US homes, ;-)))

We would have preferred to get the leak fixed in the initial stages itself. But without being aware of such a problem in existence, how can we take action? This is the same case with our mind as well. There is an unknown enemy called 'fear' sitting within ourselves encoded in our DNA. But without even being aware of that enemy, how can we take actions? So, we sit in the fear of moving out of our comfort zone paralyzed by fear of the unknown, the conditioning that kept us safe as humans in the ages of the caveman and the ancient times.

But in this day and age, does it makes sense to not take any actions and just live half of the potential we are built to live? There has been a myth that Einstein used only 10% of his brain power. Let it be a myth. But think if we feel, Einstein who was one of the greatest Scientist there, used only half of his brain power, how much are we, everyday humans using? 0.001%?? So, isn't it time to put to use our full power towards our own life? How can we go about it??

The vision: Nowadays I am of the thought, every human being should have a vision for our own life. If we think of ourselves as a boat in the ocean of life, we should have a solid GPS or radar to know where we are going. This GPS is our 'vision for our own life'. Where do we envision ourselves in another twenty years? We don't have to divulge it to anybody. But we ourselves should have a rough idea where we are going and what we want to achieve. Ask any world leaders. They would have a vision for their own life.

A vision for our life, that leads to our destiny!

This vision would help to direct all our focus and energy towards that goal. It shouldn't also be keeping that goal alone in mind and pursuing it tirelessly. But every thought or action we take should be one tiny step towards that vision. When we have that vision, our life suddenly takes a fuller approach. Now, we know where we are going. But how do we really be sure where we are going is the correct path? Can't we be chasing windmills like Don Quixote, with worthless efforts? How can we be sure? Here is where the previous step comes.

Our intuition: As humans, we are given intuition to lead our way. This is one of the major purposes of intuition. But what do we do? We ignore, neglect, stomp out or dump it in the trash. We as humans have vibrant ideas or the imaginative realm. But we never put the effort to develop it. Any idea the intuition brings we pooh-pooh it and trash it. If we are not supposed to use the intuition, why is it even there? Isn't it a logical question? If the intuition is not needed, why are we given one?

We have discussed before, the Universe is the best energy master. It is the most efficient financial manager there is. What is in real sense, money or finance? The same energy when turned into a physical entity that can be used to exchange emotions (another form of energy) it is called money. We only see the physical manifestation of the money.

Money also has an emotional aspect. The trader/ business person provides the emotion of a dress, appliance, car, or a service. We buy that emotion in exchange for the money- another physical manifestation of the same emotion. So, the Universe is the best manager of emotions there is. So, in such a scenario would we be built with intuition if we don't have to use it? It is our own dumbness that we give so less importance to emotions and intuition. (Feminine aspect. Of course, she is always pushed to a corner. Has been happening for eons. Even very much today). That is most of our subconscious information we are just rejecting. Subconscious is the 90% mind.

Intuition - The faculty needed to take us to our destiny!

So, as soon as we listen to the intuition we start to intuitively feel our path. Our GPS or the connection to the Divine slowly starts to take shape. First, this inkling may not be very strong. Because we have never used it. Also, this voice is very weak among the ramblings of the mind. So, now it becomes imperative to quiet our mind- the monkey or Markada (in Sanskrit). Otherwise, we just cannot hear the tiny voice or listen to it. Once we strengthen it, it would start showing us the path.

Our creativity: So, now we intuitively know the path. After that, we also have made the vision for our life. Now, what is the next step? The will. Without that nothing is possible. A vision, idea or imagination without the will to pursue it, just stays in the idea realm, never to see the light of the day. Think about how many ideas we have shelved like that in the dark corners of our mind? So, the will to pursue the idea should be solidly there. Once the will is there, then we can put in the actions.

Now, what type of actions should we put in? Can we take random, very non-aware, off the cuff actions? No. Here is where our true creativity comes along. Let me give a major spiritual law- 'Where your thoughts are, there goes your life'. Or 'As you desire, so shall you be'. This is exposed beautifully in Brihadaranyaka Upanishad. I am borrowing the words of Eknath Easwaran from an interpretation he wrote on Upanishads. The words are so beautiful. So I want to give it as it is.

"You are what your deep, driving desire is.
As your desire is, so is your will.
As your will is, so is your deed.
As your deed is, so is your destiny."
                                  (Brihadaranyaka Upanishad IV. 4. 5.)

So, look at the desire, will, deed, and destiny. Now, look at a terrorist or autocrat and a true strong world leader. Look at their desire. A terrorist or an autocrat wants power and control for them and their cronies over others. For that, they are ready to destroy, decimate, or kill anyone. Their desire is just to have that power at any cost. So, they don't care about killing 200 (Sri Lanka) or 3000 (9/11 or Syria) people. Their objective is only to bring in the vision, even if it is of terror. Doesn't the saying works perfectly for even these very modern times? Brihadaranyaka Upanishad was written around 3000 years ago. So, think about the brilliance of the mind the sages had. Are we even today anywhere near it?

Wisdom, bubbles, water, Soul, mind, conscious, subconscious, intellect, Sun, light, knowledge, attitude, effort, analysis, deep, recess, Moon, ideas, thoughts, creativity, creation, Brahman, Universe, purpose, words, power, desires, intentions, resolutions, butterfly, stars, way, heart, follow, brilliance, boat, ocean, life, direction, map, radar, Survivin, cancer, protein, stress, chaos, peace, oak, acorn, wisdom, Anahata, heart, space, mind, clutter, peace, awareness, Maya, commitment, colors, creativity, mythology, myth, treasure chest, key, ancestors, DNA, Karma, terrorism, heaven

So, the desire and creation of a terrorist or autocrat shows what their destiny is. To either get blown up into 1000 pieces or to be riddled with bullets from the authorities or to hide always in the mountains/safe houses or to have eternal fights with others. This is not something others are doing. By desiring and following with will, deed, they are inviting their own destiny. Last week we already discussed, about the News or telecommunication channel we have(!!!!) from the other side of the curtain as if only the terrorist and their leaders are privy to it. It is truly sad the young and inspired youth are totally brainwashed to work towards the agenda of these evil organizations.

Now, look at a leader like Lincoln, Gandhi, or Martin Luther King Jr. They didn't grab the power. The power was given to them by the people for their altruistic and humanitarian desires. Those desires again led to their will, the will to their deeds and the deeds to their destiny. Here also these leaders were not just puppets in the hands of their fate. Instead, they took their desire, saw that above their own desire it works for the well being of a whole society and used their will and deeds to change the destiny of a large group of society and even generations to come.

I am a living example of that desire. If Mahatma Gandhi had not fought for the freedom of India, I wouldn't have had the exposure to study in a big city like Chennai (I did my M.Tech. Biotech there), later come to another country like the U.S.A. Then read all those books in the public library system (a gift of an idea from Benjamin Franklin), so that today I am able to write a blog on those inklings. So, with every human, what they desire, is what their will would be. That later translates into their deeds and destiny. So, each of us humans are creating our destiny or life every second. So, we need to be aware of what we are creating.

Heaven on Earth: Now, the Universe is a very neutral energy Master. What we put into our life, we get back. If we put good, kindness, and compassion that is what we get back. If we put in terror, fear, and atrocities that is what we get back. Even the way we tackle fear can lead us towards our destruction. Remember the collective unconscious is always there trying to trap us. So, it takes a humongous human will to come out of that attitude of fear. Now, you can ask then why so many innocents are dying even if they didn't do anything deliberately?

Yes, innocents are dying. But isn't the whole world nowadays in an undercurrent of fear, mistrust, and hate? So, in such a case, isn't the 'collective unconscious' having a big say in how the emotion of the world nowadays is? When the collective itself is under the grip of such negative emotions, is there any wonder, a group of people at a time is getting annihilated? This same concept from Brihadaranyaka Upanishad can be put towards the collective destiny as well.

If the collective desire is of fear, the deeds, and the will would lead towards the destiny that is not good for anyone, let alone the victims of terror attacks. We through our collective fear are inviting doom and gloom for ourselves. Instead of trying to pursue heaven after death, we should create 'Heaven on Earth'. How? Each human should start taking charge of their own life, than just listening to some leader in a brainless, mindless way. Your desires to have your own 'heaven on Earth' would bring in the will to take the right actions for you. That would lead to the right deeds. Of course right deeds would bring in your right destiny.

Wisdom, bubbles, water, Soul, mind, conscious, subconscious, intellect, Sun, light, knowledge, attitude, effort, analysis, deep, recess, Moon, ideas, thoughts, creativity, creation, Brahman, Universe, purpose, words, power, desires, intentions, resolutions, butterfly, stars, way, heart, follow, brilliance, boat, ocean, life, direction, map, radar, Survivin, cancer, protein, stress, chaos, peace, oak, acorn, wisdom, Anahata, heart, space, mind, clutter, peace, awareness, Maya, commitment, colors, creativity, mythology, myth, treasure chest, key, ancestors, DNA, Karma, terrorism, heaven
Heaven on Earth - The key is our desire!

If one desires for 'Heaven on Earth' that is what one would strive for. As previously mentioned the Brahman or the Universe is a very neutral energy. We would get compassion from the Divine only if we ourselves have compassion for ourselves and others. As humans, we may think, 'the Divine would take care of us if we pray from sacred books and go and kill thousands.' We are humans. We can be extremely non-aware. But the life of a terrorist or a true leader shows the difference in the things happening in their life itself. Their life is the proof of their thoughts.

So, someone who kills thousands, should think what is the energy they are putting out and wishing for heaven after life. If they cannot find 'heaven' while living in this now, where we know more about what is happening and how the Earth looks like, can they find their heaven somewhere they have absolutely no idea about? Think. Isn't it easier to build 'heaven' in a place we already know? Isn't that the smart and wise way?

So, again our desires lead to our will, our will lead to our deeds. Our deeds lead to our destiny. So, whether destiny is 'Hell on Earth' or 'Heaven on Earth' manifests according to our desires. Now, what desires to have-that is always our free will and choice!

I wish you a good weekend and I'll see you next Friday!😉

Next week: The concept of Heaven!

Ralph Waldo Emerson writes, "There is a time in every man's education when he arrives at the conviction that envy is ignorance ; that imitation is suicide; that he must take himself for better for worse as his portion that though the wide universe is full of good, no kernel of nourishing corn can come to him but through his toil bestowed on that plot of ground which is given to him to till. The power which resides in him is new in nature, and none but he knows what that is which he can do, nor does he know until he has tried".
